Biomes of the World Webquest

 

Introduction:

Welcome! You are in charge of Greenville's first Biome Fair. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to wow the community with your knowledge of Biomes of the World.

Task:

You will form research teams to learn all that you can about one of five biomes of the world, Your team will be in charge of presenting your findings at a Biome Fair for the community.

Process:

  1. Form five research teams based on interest. The five topics are: Oceans, Rainforest, Prairies, Deserts, and the Arctic Tundra.
  2. Each member of the group will be responsible for completing a Biome Form using the Biome Rubric. Research sites for your biome to complete the form.
  3. Print the Group Project Planning Form and work with your team to distribute responsibilities.
  4. Use information from individual Biome Forms to complete the tasks on the Group Project Planning Form.
  5. As a class, plan the Biome Fair. Invite families, friends and community members.
